ABOUT ME
I am a media director, business development leader and digital marketing expert.
My background in data driven marketing began with my first job as a Data Analyst for an investment bank. I reconciled brokerage accounts and verified complex trade data (without a computer.)
I started my career in digital marketing more than 10 years ago. In a series of roles in the software industry I was responsible for various forms of lead generation- getting IT Managers to download whitepapers or attend webinars. I started with cold calling and quickly learned that email and search were more effective. Eventually I became a sales guy responsible for closing deals and hitting my sales quota.
I leveraged that experience in my first agency position at NewGate, a boutique agency specializing in search engine marketing for large online retailers. I was responsible for building and growing the agency's new business team.
Since then I've broadened my expertise to include just about every form of digital marketing- everything from 25 character text links to online video to custom content integration and strategic partnerships.
At Swirl I oversee our clients' digital business. I specialize in the integration of digital advertising, social media, analytics, and business development. It is my job to meet campaign goals while moving the overall business forward.
I live in Marin County, California. I spend my free time hanging out on the south side of Mt. Tam with my amazing wife and wonderful daughter. I sometimes enjoy golf, skiing, mountain biking, live music and West Coast IPAs.
